Experimental Yakishimi kiln

This experimental Yakishimi kiln continues Douglas’s exploration of his ‘Flame over Fire’  design principle that he developed some years ago and personified in his two chambered Dora kiln. It is a one/two chambered with a packing space of half a cubic meter. It’s super efficient firing to cone 10 in 8 hours or less with very little wood. It gets good amounts of fly ash glaze. It is designed to be fired many times with different cycles to test the variables of wood firing.
